DWN2021 Step Up Together Conference – Taupo

Thursday 8 April 2021

This year, we’re bringing our conference to you.

We’re building greater relationships in the regions and giving you a place to connect with us, with each other, and with yourselves. We’re inviting dairy women around the country to join us for one day packed with plenty of opportunities for growth as we Step Up Together. From workshops and networking sessions, to just taking time out away from the farm, DWN2021 is a chance to fill your bucket and celebrate the role that you play in the industry.

It’s a time to prioritise, reset and, through interaction with other like-minded women, to build confidence in yourself. A safe environment for learning offers both personal and professional growth, with access to knowledge to improve your own farming operations or provide the necessary support, depending on your role within the industry.

The aim is to provide a special opportunity for connection so that you can go back to work energised and with the support of a wider network of dairy women.

What Success Looks Like For You – Learn about diversification and other ways to climb the ladder. You’ll take home ideas for other ways to invest in your farm and your future, and hear success stories from those who have taken an untraditional path.

Clear as Water – Get a better understanding of the Freshwater Policy. Learn why it’s important, where to find the right information and who to talk to, followed by an interactive panel discussion with local councils on what’s required from the industry.

Interactive Session – Get hands-on with hoof health and robotics. Move through this session full of practical activities and explore each area at your own pace.

Join us for a Party Through the Decades as we celebrate the Fonterra Dairy Woman of the Year and the Dairy Women’s Network Regional Leader of the Year for 2021. We know everyone has different tastes so we’ve reduced the cost of tickets to only $99, with water provided on the tables and a cash bar. Pick a decade, throw on your glad rags and dance the night away!

DAY TWO (Friday 9 April):

Boat Cruise and Breakfast –  Relax the morning after conference with breakfast and a boat tour. Hosted by Chris Jolly Outdoors, we’ll hear from a guest speaker while visiting the Māori rock carvings on Lake Taupo and taking the time to explore an important piece of the beautiful Taupo region. Breakfast included in ticket price.
Cost $80
