Karen Bain

Project Lead - Farming for the Future Leadership Programme

After a career in teaching Karen found herself gravitating towards people development and coaching. So, she continued to seek out roles that would enable her to develop in both. Having set up her own coaching business, Karen works with clients to get clear on what they truly desire, identify what matters the most and develop a path forward with actions that will make a difference.

Working at DWN enables Karen to have flexibility and opportunities to grow and make a difference. In her role as project lead for the Farming for the Future Leadership Program, Karen will be working to design and deliver a program that will enable and empower DWN to farm for the future.

Married to Kevin they have a son Matt, daughter Emma, and two gorgeous grandchildren. Karen enjoys staying active by exploring local river tracks or great walks and when it’s not exercise – quilt making, knitting, and reading are her go-to’s. But most of all she loves hanging out with family and special friends. Karen’s favourite quote is ‘You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.’
