REGIONAL LEADER OF THE YEAR

The DWN Regional Leader of the Year award recognises inspiration and excellence at grass roots for our volunteer Regional Leaders.

The recipient will receive:

• A scholarship to the value of $2000+GST for an approved leadership development programme/s of your choice
• Travel and accommodation to location of programme

The selection panel will consist of three judges, including representatives from Dairy Women’s Network.

Criteria

The judging panel will consider the following qualities when awarding the Regional Leader of the Year title:

1. The Regional Leader demonstrates leadership in her local community
2. She encompasses the values of Dairy Women’s Network and is a good representative for the network
3. She is viewed as a go to for connection in her community
4. She has been a Regional Leader in the past 2 years and is now a current Regional Leader/ Hub Leader / Business Group Leader for Dairy Women’s Network

What to expect as a finalist

As a finalist you are available to attend:

• An online interview with the judges – TBC March/April 2026
• Media Training – 1 hour online session – TBC April 2026
• The 2026 Gala Dinner – Tuesday 5 May, Addington Raceway and Events Centre, Christchurch

The finalists will receive a complimentary ticket to the 2026 Gala Dinner. Registration to the DWN Conference 2026 and travel and accommodation will be at the finalists expense.
