Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all applicants and recipients of the IDEXX Scholarship Fund administered by Dairy Women’s Network (DWN) and funded by IDEXX.

1. Eligibility

  • Applicants must be current members of Dairy Women’s Network at the time of application and remain a member throughout the scholarship period.
  • Applicants must reside in New Zealand and actively engaged in the dairy sector.

2. Use of Scholarship Funds

  • The scholarship must be used for leadership development activities aligned with the purpose of the fund, such as:
    • Training or education courses
    • Mentorship or coaching programmes
  • The scholarship cannot be used for general business expenses, wages, or unrelated travel.
  • All proposed activities must be completed within 12 months of receiving the scholarship, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Scholarship Value and Payment

  • Up to $10,000 per year is available, with the number of recipients and funding amounts determined by DWN and IDEXX.
  • Funding will be paid either directly to the provider or reimbursed to the recipient upon provision of valid receipts/invoices.

4. Timeline

  • Applications open – 1 October 2025 to 31 January 2026.
  • Announcement of Scholarship Recipient/s – February 2026.

5. Selection Process

  • Selection will be carried out by a panel comprising representatives from DWN and IDEXX.
  • Decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • DWN reserves the right not to award any scholarships each year if no suitable applicants are identified.
  • DWN reserves the right to withhold, vary, or withdraw a scholarship offer in cases of ineligibility, misconduct, or lack of suitable applicants.

6. Recipient Obligations

  • Recipients must:
    • submit a short progress update and impact report within 3 months of completing their funded activity.
    • Consent to publicity, including use of their name, photo, and leadership journey through interviews, case studies, or DWN media channels.
    • Notify DWN of any significant changes to the planned activity. Any such changes must be approved in writing.
  • Recipients may be asked to speak at a DWN event or act as an ambassador for the fund.

7. Withdrawal or Termination

  • DWN reserves the right to withdraw or cancel a scholarship if:
    • The recipient provides false or misleading information.
    • The recipient does not complete the agreed activity or fails to provide the required report.
    • The recipient breaches these terms and conditions or any applicable laws.
  • Any unused or misused funds may be repayable, unless otherwise waived in special circumstances.

8. Privacy and Data Use

  • Personal information collected through the application process will be used solely for scholarship administration and evaluation and shared only with IDEXX and the selection panel.
  • Applicants consent to DWN using anonymised or approved content from their application or story for promotional and reporting purposes.

9. General

  • These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
  • DWN and IDEXX reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions at any time, with reasonable notice given to applicants and recipients.
