DWN19 Keynote – Amanda Doughty

How is technology being used to assess animal welfare? Amanda Doughty, research scientist at Allflex Australia will provide an overview of animal welfare science and the work being done on animal emotions. This is an opportunity to be curious about the welfare of animals being involved in food production systems. Amanda is focused on effective methods for monitoring behavioural and health changes in livestock. Amanda grew up on Whanganui and now works in Armidale, NSW. She is living the dream combining her love of animals with her intellectual curiosity.
