Fonterra Farm Source launched in September 2014, as Fonterra’s new farmer facing brand. Farm Source brings together all the benefits of being part of our co-operative, to support farmers and their farming businesses and bolster the Co-operative’s connection with rural communities in New Zealand.
Farm Source combines service, support, rewards, digital technology, online shopping and financial options for farmers, and local Farm Source hubs to support the major dairying regions throughout the country. The hubs are our face and place in the community, a place where we can connect with each other and our communities with facilities like shared meeting spaces for you to book and use, drop in space and a customer lounge where you can enjoy a coffee and free wifi.
Farm Source was developed from discussions with our farmers about what’s important to you, your businesses and your communities, combined with the “together as one” principle that underpins our co-operative. Co-ops have always been about unity and collective strength and we have a lot of both. Farm Source is about putting it to work for our farmers so we all benefit. With Farm Source we are taking our relationship with our farmers to a whole new level through connected services and support systems – like the co-op, Farm Source is much stronger than the sum of its parts.
Our first Farm Source hub opened in Methven in September 2014, and over time our network of RD1 stores will transition to the Farm Source brand. With our strong nationwide presence, we’re proud to work closely with Dairy Womens Network to encourage and support the success of women in dairying throughout the country, and their contribution to the continued growth and success of our industry.
