How Cows View the World

Cows have senses just like us – sight, sound, smell, touch and taste, but these senses operate differently to ours. Because cows are prey animals,  and because of the location of their eyes, the way they pick up sound, and their strong herd behaviour, they might not always do what you expect or want them to.

Understanding how their senses differ from ours and how cows view the world is crucial for good stocksense, and can make life on-farm less stressful and more enjoyable, for both you and the cows.
