Annual General Meeting – 2018

The AGM was held in Hamilton on October 25, 2018.

Summary

Cathy Brown (Board Chair) extended a warm welcome to the Network Partners and guests and acknowledged the company of network founders Hilary Webber and Robyn Clements to the Annual General Meeting.

Cathy reflected on the past 20 years and that Dairy Women’s Network is all about the people who work to make a great dairy industry in her tabled Chair Report.

Jules Benton (CEO) spoke about embracing the future and celebrating our people who make a positive difference to our members and the dairy industry in her tabled CEO Report.

Along with the formalities, members heard from guest speakers.

Andrew Fletcher Strategy Implementation Manager, DairyNZ
Andrew spoke about Dairy Tomorrows vision and principles, and how Dairy Women’s Network is a valued strategy partner, who are a key contributor with network connection.

Amy Willoughby Rural Manager, ASB Morrinsville
Amy introduced Peter Brice from ASB MAGS Farm and expressed ASB’s commitment for a sustainable future for New Zealand agriculture with the MAGS Project.

Peter Brice Experience Centre Development Manager, ASB MAGS Farm.
Peter presented the what, how and why of the project, and talked through the new build of the Agri-Food and Fibre Experience Centre.

Kylie Leonard 2018 Dairy Community Leadership Award recipient.
Kylie engaged guests with her journey and the “power of a connected rural community”.  With a take home message of “what is your legacy you leave behind?”

Cheyenne Wilson North Canterbury Regional Leader, Dairy Women’s Network
Cheyenne engaged guests and spoke about being the next generation to demonstrate best practice and to lead change within the industry.
