MilkHub’s comprehensive dairy automation and online herd management system provides the New Zealand dairy farmer with up-to-date, relevant information about every cow, every milking, every day.
MilkHub’s fully integrated modular components include: automated 3-way drafting gate, automated feeder, in-bail cow ID, 4-in-1 sensors, in-shed display screens and automatic walk-over weigh scales to give the farmer a number of options to make shed operation more efficient and improve productivity.
Real-time data is delivered via the central MilkHub online management platform and may include milk yield and mastitis predictions to quickly identify high and low performing cows. The system ensures milking staff and farm managers have easy and quick access to information for the management of animal health conditions. Alerts and drafts can be set from both on and off-farm, and reports are accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. The information also enables the farmer to efficiently track mating and improve reproductive performance.
MilkHub has recently entered into a partnership with CRV Ambreed which will enable single data entry and viewing of key breeding data plus access to the National Dairy Database.
Ross Nilson, managing director of MilkHub manufacturer Radian Technology says MilkHub has now installed systems throughout the country and they’ve learned that no two sheds, hardware set-ups or farmer management styles are the same.
“The challenge for dairy automation is to meet each farmer’s unique requirements so they achieve greater efficiency and improved productivity at a realistic price point,” he said.
