NAIT Scheme obligations

Posted On: Tuesday, 14 February 2012

Hi Everyone,

Please be advised that NAIT is now accepting voluntary registration from persons in charge of NAIT animals to get a NAIT number. All cattle farmers will need to be registered with NAIT by 1 July 2012. Farmers will not be enrolled automatically. They will need to do this themselves or use an accredited information provider. To register, farmers can either go online and register via our website at www.nait.co.nz. There is a large yellow icon on the home page 'login to the NAIT system'. Farmers can also sign up over the phone if they do not have a computer or the internet by calling our contact centre on 0800 624 843 during normal business hours.

We have also begun loading more information for farmers and other stakeholders about the NAIT scheme. These basic fact sheets can be found on the NAIT website under the publications tab and then click NAIT user guides and fact sheets. More user guides and detailed information will be uploaded over the coming months.http://nait.co.nz/news-and-publications/publications//

If you can help spread the word, this will help ensure that farmers and lifestylers have the opportunity to sign up for NAIT early in their own time and reduce the rush of mass registration in June this year.

Please see link below to view a flyer for your information which NAIT will be distributing through various stakeholder channels. You will also see advertising and releases over the coming weeks in various farming publications.
