Learning outcomes:

Discuss sale and purchase agreements in detail and understand the legal obligations of buyers and sellers

Recognise herd records involved with buying and selling and discuss how to set up records and transfer cows between parties (including NAIT requirements)

Talk about the "fish hooks", best time to buy and sell, pregnancy testing, in-calf guarantees, unsound animals, rejection rates etc

Practically assess some cows to identify those able to be rejected

Understand the agents role in the process
Join us on farm for the discussion and practical assessment of stock, and leave with a checklist of the buying and selling process so you can make an informed decision.
Participants should bring:

Gumboots

Wet weather gear e.g. raincoat if poor weather conditions

Sun protection e.g. cap, sunscreen. Note: part of the day is spent in the field

Dairy Days workshops run from 10.00am -2.00pm, with morning tea and coffee from 9:30am.
$55 late registration. Late registrations can be taken on the day from 9.30am
