The Dairy Women's Network - Dairy Days are designed specifically to give you the opportunity to network and learn from industry specialists and other dairy women. These 1-day topical workshops bring you education and the latest research to help you build your dairying business. Dairy Days focus on issues you have told us are most important to you. 1. The Organised Office
Is your office as streamlined as it could be? What tools and systems are there for organising this vital space? Learn how others make their offices hum. This workshop will also give some basics about farm accounting and personal finance so you can really start seeing the benefits of The Organised Office.
Learning Outcomes: by the completion of this workshop attendees will...
* Share some tips for organsing their office and their accounts
* Understand the basics of farm accounting and coding
* Understand basics of personal finance - forms of credit (overdraft, revolving credit accounts, credit cards, HP) types of loans and lending criteria
2. Essential Farm Finance
Dairy women are invited to attend an all new workshop. This this workshop you will use your budget and accounts information to look at benchmarking and learn how to assess a business decision and put together a proposal to take to the bank.
Learning Outcomes: by the completion of this workshop attendees will
* Understand how budget information can be used for: benchmarking, partial budgeting, assessing a business decision.
* Have identified and calculated some benchmarks for their business.
* Have completed a partial budget for purchase of additional land or cows.
* Understand what information is required by lenders when receiving a proposal.
* Know benefits of Dairybase for benchmarking and budgeting.
